Free Notion templates for your thesis and research

Six research studios for Notion, one for each stage where students get stuck: shaping the question, justifying the sample, running interviews, coding the data, managing supervision and getting the paper published. Each one starts in a three-step Simple mode, so you can use it today even if you are new to Notion.

Not just a tracker

Each studio checks your work as you go: a question's FINER verdict, a missing consent form, a journal that fails a legitimacy screen, a reviewer comment still waiting for an answer.

Grounded in method

Every studio has a method guide with the published sources it follows, and a diagram that shows exactly how each verdict or flag is decided.

Built for your examiners too

Decisions, versions and reasons are kept on the record, ready for your methods chapter, your ethics form or your viva.

Questions

Are they really free?

Yes. All six are free on the Notion Marketplace. You need a Notion account, and the free plan is enough: none of the studios need charts, paid features or Notion AI.

When can I get them?

Now. Click "Get it free" on any studio: you enter your email, receive a one-page PDF with the link, and duplicate the studio into your own Notion. They are also with Notion for review and will appear on the Notion Marketplace soon.

I have never used Notion. Will I manage?

Each studio opens with a Simple mode: three steps, one table each, and a plain instruction above every table. You can start your own work in about five minutes and ignore the rest until you need it.

What is the example data inside?

Every studio comes with a fully worked, fictional example study so you can see each check working. A short "Start here" page shows how to clear it in about two minutes.

Do the studios replace my supervisor, my ethics approval or statistical software?

No. They make your reasoning visible and keep the record. Your supervisor, your ethics board and validated software such as G*Power or R still have the final word.
