What it's for

Most people will read your abstract and nothing else. This is the procedure for making those 250 words carry the finding.

What's inside

  1. Extract the core message — The one finding, why it matters, and the numbers that must appear.
  2. Craft and test the title — Four patterns, a scoring sheet and a trim list for the winner.
  3. Build the abstract, move by move — Five moves, what each must contain, and a word budget for each.
  4. Match the required format — Format by study type, and what this venue actually requires.
  5. Fix the opening — The clichés to replace, and four openings that earn the read.
  6. Compress to the limit — A cutting order, phrase trims, and what may never be cut.
  7. The conference version — The submission's rules, and the rubric reviewers will score you against.
  8. Keywords and discoverability — A coverage map for where each term appears — title, abstract, keywords.
  9. The plain-language summary — Four sentences, a jargon list, and the certainty check.
  10. Audit before you submit — The self-audit, the standalone test, and the consistency check against the manuscript.

Swipe cards — the rules, formulas and phrasings worth keeping beside you, on one page to cut out.

Who it's for

It is not an editing service and it does not write for you — it is the structure, the budget and the audit around your own words.

The kit is the worksheet layer; the workbook adds the method, the worked examples and the field notes behind each step.

Frequently asked questions

My limit is not 250 words. Does the budget still work?

Yes. The proportions hold at any limit, and the spreadsheet rescales them — 150, 250, 300 or a character count.

Does it cover structured abstracts?

Yes, and continuous ones. Step 4 matches the format to your study type and to the heading set your venue specifies.

Is it discipline-specific?

No. The moves are the same across fields; where conventions differ — qualitative work, reviews, methods papers — the kit says so and routes you to your venue's standard.

Does it help with keywords for search?

Yes. Step 8 maps each concept across title, abstract and keywords, so your terms are placed where indexes and search engines actually look.
