Terms for Journal Clock organisation services

Data provided as is

Journal Clock figures are calculated from public metadata that publishers deposit with PubMed and from other public sources listed on the methodology page. They are provided as is, without warranty, and may contain errors in the underlying metadata.

No prediction

Figures describe articles that journals accepted in the past. They are not a prediction of how long any manuscript will take and are not a measure of journal quality.

Neutrality

No journal or publisher can pay to change, remove or improve its figures. Organisations may buy reports about their own journal; the public numbers stay the same for everyone.

Corrections

Report suspected errors to rafiq@gradsummit.com. Verified metadata errors are corrected within five business days; corrected figures appear in the next data release.

Data feed rows

Feed subscribers may use the data inside their own products and services but may not resell or redistribute the rows as a dataset.

Attribution

Displays of Journal Clock data must credit “Journal Clock (GradSummit)” and keep the source attributions: “Courtesy of the U.S. National Library of Medicine”, with the statement that NLM does not endorse the product; DOAJ; OpenAlex; and the Retraction Watch Database via Crossref where retraction figures are shown.

Payment

Services are invoiced after the scope is agreed by email. Reports are delivered after payment.
